Government has already opened a cyber police station for this purpose

RAICHUR: Home Minister M.P. Prakash has said that the Government has initiated steps to strengthen the Police Department with modern weapons and technical know-how enabling it to tackle any kind of terrorist activities in the State.

He was speaking to presspersons on Saturday after attending the Halvanth Samskitika Vibhava, a religious function, held at Thinthini Bridge in Deodurga taluk on Saturday.

He said the State Government has considered terrorist activity in the State as a serious issue and asked the Police Department to maintain strict vigil in all vital installations in the State.

The Government had already opened a cyber police station for this purpose, he said. In respect of arrest of three suspected Kashmiri youth at Mudgal town of Raichur district, Mr. Prakash said the department has confirmed that though the arrested youth at Mudgal town have been identified as natives of Jammu and Kashmir, preliminary investigations conducted by the Police Department have revealed that they do not belong to any terrorist groups.
