BANGALORE: Mr. Big is back, finally! Nearly seven years after the band wound up, legendary hard rock band Mr. Big announced their comeback tour.

Kick-starting the second leg of this much-awaited tour in Bangalore on Saturday, this big, bad foursome is all set to rock Palace Grounds — much to the relief of rockers who lament the long lull in the city’s rock scene.

Speaking to presspersons, Bassist Billy Sheehan and guitarist Paul Gilbert (of RacerX fame) said that they’re here to “rock the city”. “Never did I imagine that I’ll play in India someday. This is the best part of being a musician,” an excited Mr. Gilbert said. But why did it take this late Eighties band so long to comeback?

“Frankly, our fans brought us together. But we also missed playing together. Now we’re back – fit and fresh, and all ready to play for you,” promises Mr. Sheehan. Along with vocalist Eric Martin and drummer Pat Torpey, this band is among the few whose comeback tour offers nothing less than the original line up.
