HUBLI: Metis ERC India Private Limited plans to launch its M-Cube School in Belgaum and Mangalore by the end of this financial year, chief executive officer of the company Rajesh Athihalli has said.

Addressing presspersons after the launch of M-Cube School, a talent enhancement school at Kataria Trade Centre on Koppikar Road in Hubli on Wednesday, he said it was the company’s eighth such school in the State.

The company would be setting up similar schools in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu also.

Mr. Rajesh said M-Cube School would be offering career management programmes to individuals and also to institutions, which were aimed at empowering students with knowledge, and enhancing their competency, confidence, self-belief and discipline.

He said that according to a recent NASSCOM survey only 15 per cent of the graduates were “employable by industries”. The company through its programmes designed to suit the industry requirements would make the candidates “more employable”, and also provide placement assistance to them.

To a query on how the company’s programmes were different from those available, he said the “M-Cube programme” contained more activity-oriented training, and the topics were in accordance with the corporate requirements.

Mr. Rajesh said two business schools in Hubli-Dharwad had evinced interest in the company’s programme. He said all students could opt for the course but they would have to undergo an aptitude test for getting admission.
