Chairman of the commission will assess the damage caused to the buildings

Udupi: Chairman of State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) S.R. Nayak and his team will be visiting the vandalised prayer halls in Udupi district on September 26.

A press release issued by the Department for Information here on Tuesday stated that the commission would arrive in Udupi at 10.30 a.m. on September 26.

It would visit the prayer halls in the district, which suffered damage owing to recent attacks, till 4 p.m. The commission would accept petitions from people at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here from 4 p.m.

The commission would leave Udupi for Mangalore at 5 p.m., the release added.
