Bangalore: About 600 youths in the age group of 14-22 gathered at Cubbon Park recently to participate in a painting event by the Rotary Club.

The theme “Create a canvas, make dreams real” had them painting away on their canvases and drawing papers at the venue. Close to 100 principals of schools were present. The highlight of the event was honouring Naga Naresh Karutura, who lost both his limbs and managed to graduate from the IIT-Madras. The panel discussion that followed attempted to understand “dreams and values in life”.

Surendran Unni, president, Rotary Club, Cubbon Park, said: “We decided on the theme of creating a canvas, make dreams real with an objective of helping charter a course for today’s young men and women.”
