BANGALORE: Leaders are made not merely to lead, but to help their peers in realising their potential as not everyone is endowed with remarkable abilities.

Inspiring and guiding words such as these were the essence of the address by Brigadier P.S. Ravindranath, Commander (Headquarters) Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, to the students of the Army Public School during its investiture ceremony held recently.

As Chairman of the school, Brig. Ravindranath bestowed the newly-elected leaders with the badges of office.

Principal Manjula Raman said that the school conducted the election with an aim of inculcating democratic values in students.

She expressed happiness that many girls were part of the school cabinet.

Karthik Babu was elected school head boy; C.M. Teena, head girl; Angad Singh, vice-head boy; Pooja Nath, vice-head girl; and M. Arjun, sports captain.

Schoenstatt St. Mary’s

Schoenstatt St. Mary’s High School on Tumkur Road held its investiture ceremony recently.

Principal Joice administered the oath to the new leaders of the school.

She urged the new leaders to follow the school motto, “To be firm and free personalities”.

Vinesh C.H. is the school leader, while Shivaprasad H.S. is the assistant leader. Jibin Jose and Roopa were chosen as sports captain and vice-captain, respectively.

Holy Child Convent

Holy Child Convent, Ashok Nagar, held its investiture ceremony recently.

Principal Shobha Satish administered the oath to the newly-elected leaders of the school.

She highlighted the significance of election and said that such activities would help in inculcating the values of honesty, sincerity and responsibility in students.

`She told the new leaders to discharge their duties and responsibilities without fear or favour.

High school headmistress Mythili welcomed the gathering.

Primary school headmistress Ambuja proposed a vote of thanks.

Venus International Public School, Rajajinagar, believes that inculcating true leadership qualities in students is part of education. The school held elections recently to its students’ council.
