Bangalore: Four dancers from the Nrityarutya Trust will come together to present “Adhyaya”, the fourth chapter in Nrityarutya’s initiative, on August 1. All the four are accomplished dancers who have different backgrounds in dance. They will perform at Seva Sadan in Malleswaram, from 6.30 p.m. onwards.
Maja Dobrac, K.H. Haritha, Rajamally and Anuj Mishra will each present traditional or contemporary pieces.The event is described as “an evening of art and dance, a ground-breaking initiative where promising talent is given the opportunity to present and promote their dance work to an appreciative audience and advisory panel” by the Nrityarutya Trust.
Maja from Croatia will be presenting her work-in-progress. She will perform ‘The Dream Catcher’ and ‘The East Warriors’. Haritha from Kerala, along with fellow student Rajamally from The Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai, will perform Yathi — a “keerthanam”.
Anuj, who hails from a family of traditional musicians belonging to the Benaras Gharana, is a trained kathak dancer and a musician. She will perform three unique pieces as part of Bandish. Shiva Vandana ; Aarambh and a special composition of Lucknow Gharana.
