BANGALORE: The National Association for the Blind (NAB) is organising a seminar, “Visually Impaired Technology Assimilation and Learning – Vital 2008,” here on Friday. It will be held on the NAB premises in Jeevan Bima Nagar.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, president of the Karnataka branch of the association Saroja Ramachandra said that the objective was to highlight the technology needed for the empowerment of the visually impaired.

The seminar was also aimed at stressing that the Information Technology sector should develop user-friendly devices for visually impaired persons.

The seminar would be sponsored by the Bangalore Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and co-sponsored by the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers’ Bangalore Chapter. Details can be had on Ph: 25281590.
