Delegates from U.S.and Europe expected to participate

Udupi: The Manipal Institute of Management and College of Business Administration and Northeastern University, Boston, USA, would be jointly organising a three-day International Conference on “Outsourcing/Off shoring: trends and managerial issues”, at Manipal from January 7 to 9.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Director of Manipal Institute of Management K.V.M. Varambally said that about 150 delegates would be participating in the event, including researchers and academicians from the U.S., and Europe, besides India. The meet would have 11 technical sessions in which about 50 papers would be presented.

The topics for the conference had been divided into categories such as “Process of off shoring/outsourcing” (with six sub-topics), “Industry/Sector experiences in off shoring/outsourcing” (eight sub-topics), and “Economics of off shoring/outsourcing” (five sub-topics).

Academicians from Binghamton University, University of Texas, and North-eastern University in the U.S., Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland, and University of Southern Queensland, Australia, would attend the meet, Mr. Varambally said.
