Article 371(J): government told to frame rules

Union Labour and Employment Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge has urged the State government to frame rules for the implementation of Article 371 (J) of the Constitution and fix the quantum of reservation in different categories of employment in government departments to enable the people of the Hyderabad Karnataka region get the full benefit of the amendment to the Constitution.

Speaking at a felicitation offered at a public function organised by the block Congress committee at Saidapur here on Sunday, Mr. Kharge said the government should prove its commitment to the people.

The former Ministers A.B. Malakaraddy and Baburao Chinchansur were present.
