GULBARGA: The Hyderabad Karnataka Pradeshada Horatagala Samanvaya Samiti (HKPHSS) criticised the State Government here on Monday, for its failure to send an all-party delegation to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and exert pressure on him to concede to the long-standing demand to provide special status to the Hyderabad Karnataka region.

Leaders of the core committee of HKPHSS including its secretary Lakshman Dasti, Arunkumar Patil, Sharanu Gaddigi, Lingaaj Sirgapur, Mazar Hussain and Hanumanth Yelsangi met Regional Commissioner Rajneesh Goel and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, to express their indignation at the “unnecessary” delay in this regard.

Mr. Dasti said the HKPHSS was disappointed by the apathy shown by the State Government on the matter.
