YMCA plans debate contest
The Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) is organising Sir C.V. Raman Inter-collegiate English Debating Competition and Prof. T. Reuben Memorial Inter-collegiate Kannada Debating Competition on December 8 and 9 on "Let your mind soar free." `Jugari Cross' to be staged
Samudaya is planning to bring on stage Pornachandra Tejaswi's "Jugari Cross" directed by Nataraja Honnavalli on the invitation by CGK Ranganiranthara. Young theatre artistes would be given an opportunity in this theatre experiment. Dance programme tomorrow
In its silver jubilee year, Nrityakalamandirma has adopted "spirit of solidarity" as the theme and dance institutions will present programmes on the theme every month. The 12th programme will be held on November 18, at the Indian Institute of World Culture, B.P. Wadia Road, Basavanagudi. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) will undertake asphalting of minor roads in all wards in the city, a press release said. Roads that have deteriorated after the rainy season will be asphalted on a priority basis, the release added.
