The Legislative Assembly on Tuesday adopted the Karnataka Appropriation Bill 2013 to provide for the payment and appropriation of Rs. 7,743.64 crore of the Consolidated Fund of the State towards various services for 2013-14.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Union Railway Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge said he would allocate additional railway works amounting to Rs. 700 crore to the State this year. The State should share 50 per cent of the cost of works and Rs. 350 crore has been put aside for it, he said.
