‘Three or four posts vacant in Fast Track Courts’

‘Even judges not posted to the Labour Tribunal’

BANGALORE: The former president of Bangalore Advocates’ Association K.N. Subba Reddy urged the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court to fill all vacant posts of judges in various courts in the State.

Mr. Subba Reddy told presspersons that advocates practising at the High Court and City Civil Courts faced several problems. He said three or four posts had remained vacant in Fast Track Courts, which had to be filled up. Even judges had not been posted to the Labour Tribunal and it was not functioning for the past six months, he said. He appealed to Chief Justice to fill up the 85 posts of district judges in Karnataka.

Mr. Reddy said the association was holding a symbolic protest programme on June 2 in front of the High Court at 12.15 p.m. urging to fulfil various demands of the advocates.
