MYSORE:One more interceptor, will be added to the fleet of the Mysore city traffic police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) Rajendra Prasad told The Hindu that the city had two interceptors and another one would be added soon.
The interceptors are equipped with radar gun, telescopic camera, computer, alcometer, DVD camera and DVD recorder with a 360-degree movement. The camera, which is mounted atop the vehicle, records the driving track or behaviour of road-users. Offenders will be informed about the consequences of their action and penalised if necessary.
