Mango lovers in the city will no longer need to travel to Dharwad to get the best of the season's produce.

This year, the annual mango fair will be held in Hubli too. The Karnatak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Horticulture Department, zilla panchayat, University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Horticultural Sciences, Sufala Mango Growers' Association and other organisations have joined hands to hold the mango fair in Hubli and Dharwad.

The fair will be held in Hubli from Saturday to Monday on the Lamington High School Grounds. The fair will be a chance to pick from a variety of chemical-free mangoes straight from the farmers. Besides mango growers, food-processing units will also participate, a release said.

District-in-charge Minister Jagadish Shettar will inaugurate the mango fair on Saturday at 11 a.m.
