Chairman of Karnataka Bank B. Ananthakrishna inaugurated the State-level inter-collegiate three-day cultural fest, “Anandotsava 2012”, being organised by NMAM Institute of Technology at Nitte in Udupi district on Thursday.

Mr. Ananthakrishna said that of the four stages in one's life, student life was most important where one learnt and acquired knowledge to become a responsible citizen of the country. The knowledge and talent would help them stand in good stead in their future lives. It also helped them to lead a disciplined life, he added.

Principal of the institute S.Y. Kulkarni said that “Anandotsava” was a platform to bring out and exhibit cultural and literary talents in technical students. More than 1,000 students from 50 engineering colleges were participating, he said.
