Air fare to Mumbai and Delhi from Bangalore has seen a sharp increase over the last three days as a section of Jet Airways pilots have struck work across the country, resulting in inconvenience to the passengers. The prices of tickets in peak hour flights to Mumbai, which were available for as little as Rs. 3,500, have shot up to Rs. 10,000 and more even in some of the low-cost airlines. In some airlines, the Delhi ticket, which otherwise was Rs. 6,000, is now Rs. 24,000, an official of a leading airline told The Hindu on Thursday.
