The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday directed the Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, to admit a candidate to the post-graduate course, MD (General Medicine), under Christian quota as per seat allotment that had been made on the basis of his rank in the entrance test conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

Vacation Judge Justice Ram Mohan Reddy passed the interim order on a petition filed by Rakesh Sera who had secured rank 198. However, the college refused to admit him. The court ordered issue of emergent notice to the State, the MCI, the RGUHS and COMED-K.
