The Tata Motors’ Dharwad plant has rolled out its 10,000 Tata Ace Zip within a span of 10 months.
A release from Ashmita Pillay, manager, corporate communications, Tata Motors Ltd., stated that the 10,000th model was rolled out here last week.
The Tata Ace Zip is a microtruck with a payload of 600 kg for deep-penetration door-to-door goods movement.
Ravi Pisharody, executive director (commercial vehicles), said that the small commercial vehicle industry was growing at a steady pace.
Tata Motors Ltd. was a leader in the SCV market with a market share of 78 per cent in the cargo segment and 79 per cent in the passenger-carrier segment.
Tata Ace Zip had found acceptability from first-time buyers as a self-employment tool and from corporate and captive buyers, the official said.
