Additional Director General of Police M.K. Srivastav given guard of honour

MYSORE: The first batch of women constables (civil) passed out of the Mysore City Police Training School on Friday. A total of 92 trainees, including a police sub-inspector, passed out of this school established in April last.

Additional Director General of Police M.K. Srivastav was given the guard of honour at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Grounds here.

Prize-winners

Mallika has won the first prize in indoor activity. A.T. Chandana and C. Sunita have won the second and third prizes, respectively. Srilatha has won the first prize in outdoor activity, while Surayya Bhanu and Y. Bindu have bagged the second and third prizes, respectively. In the firing competition, Pavanangi has won the first prize while Jayalakshmi bagged the second. S.M. Kavitha and Maithri have shared the third prize. Consolation prizes have been given to C. Yashoda in firing, G. Suma in indoor activity and D. Tejalakshmi in outdoor.

S.M. Kavitha has been declared the best overall trainee of the first batch, and S. Rajeshwari the best trainee in indoor activity. Police Commissioner Praveen Sood, Mysore Superintendent of Police Vipul Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (CAR) B. Shivanna and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) Rajendra Prasad were present.
