Around 500 students from 30 colleges of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra participated in the two-day National-Level IT Fest “Itera-2K10” hosted by the KLE Society's College of Bachelor of Computer Application at R.L. Science Institute here recently.

KLES Board member S.C. Metgud inaugurated the fest. Among those who addressed the participants included Vishwanath S. Pattanshetti, Senior Systems Analyst, IBM, Bangalore.

The speakers advised students to study and adopt Green IT practices so as to efficiently use computers and IT resources.

Mr. Pattanshetti spoke on “Evolution of Mobile Communication and 3G Technologies”; Ravindra Dastikop of Shree Dharmasthala Manjunath College of Engineering Technology delivered a lecture on “Cloud Computing and its applications”; and Director of Jain Group of Institutions D.H. Rao spoke on “Computer and Management for Entrepreneur Development”.
