Couples should always understand and respect each other to lead a contented life, Shri Shivamurthy Muruga Sharana has said.

Speaking at mass marriage function organised by the Bruhanmath here on Monday, he stated that the family responsibilities should be equally shared by both husband and wife and under any circumstances; the husband should not feel inferior or superior to his wife. The in-laws should also treat them like their children and encourage them to strive for betterment of the family.

The swamiji advised the newly married couples to give top priority to educate their children in order to ensure bright future for them in the present competitive world. “As the world advances more, the talented persons are respected more and are offered good jobs and salaries. So the parents should educate their children”, he added.

A total of 41 couples tied knot in the mass marriage.
