Minister for Health and Family Welfare U.T. Khader has said a proposal to construct a 250-bed district hospital on a 13-acre plot in Yadgir will be placed before the Cabinet. Speaking to presspersons after inspecting the district hospital here on Monday, Mr. Khader said steps had been taken to fill vacancies of doctors, specialist doctors and paramedical staff in the district hospital.

Ruling out the possibility of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi becoming the next Prime Minister, he said the Congress would win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The former Minister and MLA A.B. Malak Reddy and Deputy Commissioner F.R. Jamadar accompanied Mr. Khader during his visit to the hospital.
