According to the Anekal police, the bus was following a tractor when the latter’s driver slammed the brakes near Doddakere tank, which led both tractor and the trailer to overturn. This caused the bus to slam into the trailer and it toppled over into the dry tank bed.

All the injured were treated for minor injuries at a nearby government hospital.
