BANGALORE: Sixteen candidates, including 10 independents, are in the fray in the elections to the Legislative Council from the Bangalore graduates' constituency. Two independent candidates withdrew their nomination on Saturday, which was the last day for withdrawal of nominations. The elections will be held on June 17.

The candidates fielded by parties are Minister for Science and Technology Ramachandra Gowda (BJP), A. Deve Gowda (Congress), Upendra Shetty (JD-S), K.C. Manjunath (JD-U), K.S. Lakshmi (CPI-M) and D.N. Nataraj (AIPJD).
