A 12th century temple of Kadamba dynasty has been found at Madnalli in Haliyal taluk.

S.S. Kallur, historian, along with his associates found the temple in the land that belongs to R.S. Hiremath recently.

Temple structure

The dilapidated temple has a gopuram, two Nandis, and two Shivalingas and a few boulders were found in the spot.

Dr. Kallur and his team believe that the temple belong to the time of Kadambas.
