The North Division police on Thursday claimed to have solved 120 criminal cases in the last 20 days and recovered goods worth Rs. 1.24 crore from 54 persons.

The arrested were involved in theft, extortion, chain snatching and robbery cases, Police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari told presspersons here on Thursday.

The goods recovered include 3.81 kg of gold, 713 gm of silver articles, 25 two-wheelers, nine four-wheelers, two laptops, 15 mobile phones, a leopard pelt and other material worth Rs. 21.58 lakh, Mr. Bidari said.

The Police Commissioner added that Rs. 18,500 in cash was also recovered.
