Another camp to be organised for policemen in Dharwad today

HUBLI: Nearly 1,000 police personnel and their family members were given free homoeopathic medicine and preventive medicine for chikungunya at a special camp conducted especially for the police personnel here on Tuesday.

Homoeopath Mohankumar examined the police personnel and administered medicine to those affected by the disease. Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner Narayan Nadamani, who inaugurated the special camp conducted at CAR Grounds here, said: "Although I don't know much about the components of the medicine, it appears that it can bring some relief to the patients." Mr. Nadamani said another camp would be held on Wednesday in Dharwad for police personnel working there.

The number of people affected by chikungunya in the district is now estimated to be 6,000.
