The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) would be organising the seventh national Control Instrumentation System Conference titled “CISCON 2010” here on November 12 and 13.

Kumkum Garg, director of the institute, told presspersons here on Wednesday that the conference would provide a platform to industrialists, academics, researchers and students to interact and discuss scientific progress made in the field of instrumentation. The event would provide an opportunity to the delegates for learning, besides spreading awareness about ongoing research. It would promote exchange of ideas. “One of the objectives of the conference was to promote research ,” Ms. Garg said.

Nearly 100 delegates from throughout the country would be attending the conference. Sixty papers would be presented at the conference. The papers received were in areas of computer applications in modelling and simulations, automation.
