Spokesperson of the YSR Congress Party and its trade union State president Janak Prasad has said his party will always follow the principles and policies of the former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and is committed to classification of Scheduled Castes. At a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Prasad said party MLAs had made their stand clear on the Floor of the Assembly. “Our president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is also in favour of classification of SCs,” he added.
Referring to Fuel Adjustment Charges levied by the government, Mr. Prasad said, during the tenure of Rajasekhara Reddy there were no power-cuts. The former Chief Minister neither increased power tariff nor levied indirect charges such as FAC.
He said the Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy governments had imposed a burden of Rs. 30,000 crore on people and failed to supply power to the agriculture sector.
The State government miserably failed on all fronts and lost the confidence of people.
By allowing FDI in retail trade, the Central government had declared a war on its people.
