Leaders of Telugu Desam Party alleged that YSR Congress, which was claiming to be a strong supporter for the ongoing united Andhra Pradesh agitation, is trying to weaken the movement by creating dissidents among APNGO leaders.

Speaking to the newsmen here on Sunday, MLA Yerapathineni Srinivasa Rao said that YSRC president .Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was paving way for bifurcation of State by splitting A.PNGOs in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts.

“YSRC is trying to capture the united A.P. movement completely from NGOs and the skipping of all-party meeting of the employees by Mr. Jagan is part of the ploy,” said Mr. Srinivasa Rao.

Another MLA Prathipati Pulla Rao said that President Pranab Mukherjee should stop creation of Telangana State, as many issues relating to water, power, education and employment were pending in Andhra and Rayalaseema areas. “TDP is demanding for a debate and voting on draft bill on Telangana, and the party will oppose the Centre’s move on division of the State,” said Mr. Pulla Rao.

MLA Nakka Anand Babu and others were present in the press conference.
