HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has sought Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's intervention in refund of Rs. 607 crores wrongly collected by GAIL as "gas transportation charges" from APTransco.

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister on Friday, Dr. Reddy, however, said that GAIL could adjust the amount against future bills.

The Chief Minister's letter followed an order issued by the Central Tariff Commission, in response to a complaint filed by APTransco.
