Vivekananda Reddy hopes Congress high command will make Jaganmohan Reddy Chief Minister
Party men to undertake ‘maha padayatra’ from Pulivendula to Hyderabad in support of Jagan
KADAPA: Former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy yearned to see All-India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister and ensure completion of irrigation projects under Jalayagnam by 2014, but lost his life by quirk of fate, Kadapa Member of Legislative Council and Rajasekhara Reddy’s brother Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy said on Thursday.
Speaking to newsmen at Pulivendula, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy hoped that the Congress high command would make YSR’s son and Kadapa Member of Parliament Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as Chief Minister to enable him to fulfil YSR’s goals and complete the ongoing projects and works.
Party men would undertake a ‘maha padayatra’ from Pulivendula to Hyderabad in support of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy’s candidature, he said.
Mr. Vivekananda Reddy offered lemon juice to those on relay fast demanding that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy be made the Chief Minister and ended their protest.
He exhorted Congress rank and file to follow the development path shown by YSR. Pulivendula Municipal Vice-Chairman Y.S. Manohar Reddy and Congress leader Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy also participated.
