The TDP chief will stay in the town for two days
Rajahmundry: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu will tour East Godavari district on Sunday. This is the first time in recent months that two top leaders of the State are touring the same area.
However, the Chief Minister is going to spend about 100 minutes by visiting two villages as a part of Praja Patham, while Mr. Naidu will stay for two days and be stationed at district headquarters --Kakinada only.
His entire visit is constrained to party affairs like reviewing 21 Assembly segments in the district.
According to official information, the Chief Minister is going to visit two villages in Kajuluru mandal of Tallarevu constituency represented by Dommeti Venkateswarlu in Konaseema.
The Chief Minister will land on a private rice mill ground, where the police have made temporary helipad.
He will reach Gollapalem village around 10 a.m. and leave for Aryavatam village by road, which is about half a kilometer from Gollapalem.
He will launch Indiramma scheme and will be back to Gollapalem and start the Integrated Drinking Water scheme taken up with Rs.5 crores in the village. About 25 villages will benefit with this drinking water scheme.
He will participate in Praja Patham programme up to 11.15 a.m. and then address a public meeting in Gollapalem and he is scheduled to leave by helicopter around 11.30 a.m.
Mr. Naidu will finalise local body election strategy by consulting senior leaders of the district during his tour.
He will reach Kakinada by Gouthami Express on Sunday around 7.30 a.m. and will address a press conference around 9 a.m.
He will meet district TDP coordination committee for about half an hour and then participate in a meeting arranged by Telugu Mahila on the eve of Kandukuri Veeresalingam birth anniversary in Engineering College auditorium. From here, he will leave for Eluru.
