To discuss list of party candidates for Council poll with the high command

HYDERABAD: AP Bhavan in New Delhi will be packed to capacity for two days from March 2 as Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will be in the capital during the period to discuss the list of Congress candidates for the Legislative Council poll with the party high command.

Scores of party hopefuls and senior leaders have already made travel plans to persist with their efforts to either get a place in the Council or secure a berth for their followers.

The Chief Minister has a tough task on hand with several aspirants preferring nomination to the Council by the Governor rather than seeking election through the MLA's quota.

The Governor will nominate 12 members to the Council apart from the 31 to be elected by the MLAs.
