HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has appealed for vote to the Congress to fulfil his dream of `Haritandhra Pradesh' with the completion of programmes taken up by his Government.

In a letter to people expressing a debt of gratitude on the eve of local body polls, Dr. Reddy said the elections assumed significance as an efficient leadership to take up Government programmes in rural areas was called for. The elected representatives need to support the programmes and that was why he appealed for the victory of Congress.

Dr. Reddy said he dreamt of a Haritandhra Pradesh as reflected in a steady flow of water to parched agricultural lands, work to labourers even if there were no rains, increased Government assistance to rural artisans, hospitals and schools in every village and pensions to helpless old aged, widows and physically handicapped.
