Duo to address their fist meeting in Chevella

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and AP Congress Committee president D. Srinivas are likely to undertake an 11-day joint campaign from May 15 for the Assembly and Lok Sabha byelections.

They will hit the road in a specially-designed vehicle and campaign in two phases – from May 15 to 21 and from May 24 to 27. They will address their fist meeting in Chevella.

The two leaders discussed the campaign strategy on Tuesday and also spoke to the leaders in various constituencies. They will participate in road shows by addressing maximum number of road side gatherings.

Dr. Reddy and the PCC chief will address a public meeting in Khanapur Assembly constituency on Wednesday. This will be followed by two meetings in Mudhole in Adilabad district and Khairatabad on May 3.

Party leaders are planning a huge public meeting in Mudhole, as part of the election campaign for Adilabad parliamentary constituency. Incidentally, this segment is presently represented by rebel TRS MLA Narayan Rao Patel.

Sources said Dr. Reddy continued his telephonic talk with the unsuccessful aspirants. He spoke to Bharatchandra Reddy and Rajvardhan Reddy, who had aspired for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat. Similarly, the Chief Minister pacified A. Lakshman Kumar (Medaram) and Pratap (Cherial).

He was said to have spoken to the Endowments Minister J. Ratnakar Rao and Government Whip D. Sridhar Babu to advise these leaders to cooperate and work for the party nominees.
