HYDERABAD: Loyalists of former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy appears to be landing in one controversy other over their remarks on the functioning of the government and the Chief Minister K. Rosaiah.

Close on the heels of the recent observations by three MLAs about the AICC president and the Prime Minister, Government Whip S. Sailajanath on Tuesday made an off-the-cuff remark. Asked whether the 150 MLAs stood by their earlier representation to the Congress high command for entrusting Kadapa MP Y.S.Jaganmohan with the responsibility of Chief Minister, he commented, “We asked AICC president Sonia Gandhi to give us mineral water but we got only water.”

At the same time, he qualified his statement by saying that once the central leadership decided that Mr. Rosaiah would head the government, all of them were abiding by it.

There was no second opinion among the MLAs over their support to the Chief Minister.
