TIRUPATI: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy is visiting Chittoor district twice in a gap of three days from Sunday.
On arriving in Nagari, he will lay the foundation stone for the Galeru-Nagari irrigation scheme.
During his brief stay, he will also inaugurate a social welfare hostel each for boys and girls and a library building.
Besides, he will lay the stone for the Terani high-level bridge and for cement road works.
On the second leg of his tour on June 6, the Chief Minister will hop into Madanapalle on the semi-arid western track of the district to lay the stone for the Handri-Neeva irrigation project. He will also take part in a number of other programmes. The Chief Minister will wind up his tour with a public meeting.
Meanwhile, State Election Commissioner A.V.S. Reddy is also visiting Tirupati on June 5. He will have a meeting with Panchayat Raj officers of the region. He is expected to review the works relating to revision of the voter list besides reorganisation of Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies.
The SEC will return Hyderabad the same day.
