A 22-year-old youth Kurma Ramulu committed ended his life leaving behind a suicide note demanding the formation of Telangana State with 10 districts, including Hyderabad, at his home at Hasanpally village under Nizam Sagar police station limits early on Wednesday.
Ramulu did his B.Ed. and was searching for the employment. His parents were not aware when he consumed poison, but were shocked to find him dead in the morning. They also found the note beside the body.
The TDP activists, led by the MLA Hanmanth Shinde (Jukkal), who called on the bereaved family, staged rasta-roko at Boggubavi on Nanded-Hyderabad road protesting against dilly-dallying by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s on the Telangana issue. He said that nothing short of formation of Telangana with 10 districts was acceptable to his party.
TRS MLA condoles kin
The TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy (Banswada), who visited the bereaved family, accused the Congress of playing politics claiming the lives of several youths.
“The Congress is moving forward the Rayala-Telangana which our party or people have never asked for,” he said after consoling the family members.
The BJP Yellareddy constituency leader Banala Lakshma Reddy and several others lined up to console Ramulu’s family.
