“Maro Praja Prasthanam has positive feedback on State’s schemes”

KHAMMAM: The ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’ undertaken by Youth Congress State president T.J. R. Sudhakar Babu entered Khammam town on Tuesday. A host of leaders, including AICC secretary and MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy and former MLA Younis Sultan, received the rally on the outskirts of the town. They garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at the Mayuri Centre before resuming the rally in the town.

Mr. Sudhakar Reddy led the rally riding a rickshaw for some distance. A large number of party workers joined it holding the Youth Congress flags aloft.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sudhakar Babu said that the rally was aimed at creating awareness among the people about the various welfare measures being implemented by the government.

He recalled that the Rajiv Yuva Chaitanya Yatra undertaken by him after assuming office as State Youth Congress president was an overwhelming success. Some 15,000 kilometres were covered as part of the yatra. The response was equally good for the ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’.

He said the Maro Praja Prasthanam had positive feedback on government-sponsored programmes. The rice scheme could help demonstrate the urge of Chief Minister to reach out to the poor and needy, he said.
