An 18-year-old girl, who was attacked allegedly by her fiancé Afzal Pasha two days ago at Begumpet, succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

Pasha of Rasoolpura working at the valet parking wing of a hotel fell in love with Aasia Begum of same locality a few months ago, the police said.

Elders of both the families agreed to their marriage proposal and a few weeks ago their engagement was held.

“It seems that of late Pasha began raising objection over the behaviour of the woman and even accused her of moving closely with another person,” the Begumpet police said.

This created rift between them. On Tuesday night, Pasha rang up Begum stating that he wanted to speak with her. The woman stepped out of the house telling her grandmother that she was going to meet her fiancé.

Pasha met her near Om Sai school and entered into an argument raising objection over her behaviour.

He allegedly attacked her with a knife and when she collapsed on the ground, he hit on her head with a boulder.

As she shouted for help, passers-by rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to hospital.

She died on Thursday while undergoing treatment.

The Begumpet police registered a case of murder against Pasha.
