The Director General, National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), M. Chandrasekhar Reddy, on Friday exhorted the young entrepreneurs and business executives from the developing countries to harness their communication skills in English in order to be part of the growing entrepreneurial opportunities in the international arena.

Inaugurating the International Executives Development Programmes on NI-MSME campus here, Mr. Reddy said that the institute had played a key role in imparting communication skills to the entrepreneurs from the Third World countries since five decades. Till date, the institute had trained as many as 8,106 foreign executives from 138 countries across the globe, mostly from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ghana, Uganda and Afghanistan. Apart from communication skills, the trainees would be taken to field visits, relevant to their topics, Prof. Reddy added.

The series of international programmes would deal with aspects related to communication skills, promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises, Tourism and Hospitality, transfer of technology, consultancy services, etc. As many as 115 participants from 33 countries attended the inaugural session.
