VISAKHAPATNAM: Former MP and chairman of Andhra Pradesh Hindi Academy, Padmashree Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, will participate in the Hindi Mahotsav to be held in Moscow in March.
A professor of Hindi in Andhra University, he is the only person from non-Hindi heartland of Andhra Pradesh selected for the honour. He will also attend the Eighth Vishwa Hindi Sammelan - World Hindi Conference - to be held in New York from July 13 to 15 this year. The Sammelan will be organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and all-important Hindi organisations in the USA including Antar Rashtriya Hindi Samithi, Vishwa Hindi Nyas and Vishwa Hindi Samiti are helping and participating in it.
Prof. Lakshmi Prasad has also been nominated in the sub-committee on theme of the conference and its academic sessions.
