WWF-India's AP State Office is conducting its first three-day Amateur Naturalist Training (ANT) programme for youth above 16 years of age from Friday at Shamirpet Deer Park, a press release stated. The programme costs Rs. 2,500 and will expose the participants to various modules of appreciating nature, recognising the natural flora and fauna and basic out-door knowledge of wilderness, camping and survival.
The participants will be camping in the Shamirpet Deer Park for two nights on Friday and Saturday, the release said. The introductory modules will be handled by people from AP Forest Department, Birla Science Centre, NCC, Bird Watchers' Society of AP and WWF-India.
The participants will be awarded with a participation certificate which will also make them eligible to volunteer with the WWF-India's AP State Office during the COP-XI United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity that will be held in the city in October.
