Writers condoled the death of the nonagerian Telugu litterateur Ghandikota Brahmaji Rao at Baranpur in West Bengal on Friday. A founder member of the Visakha Rachayitula Sangham in the early 1940s, Brahmaji Rao was an employee of the Railways and rose to become Divisional Mechanical Engineer. Starting with his story collection “Navvindi Nagaavali”, he wrote hundreds of stories and 20 novels. . Writers Kaalipatnam Rama Rao, Chalasani Prasad, L.R. Swami, GVSLN Raju and Malayvasini, and literary associations condoled the death. A condolence meeting was proposed to be organised by Mosaic at the Visakha Public Library on Monday evening.
