Cloud computing is going to change businesses are conducted and in the development of new computer applications, said Keith Maycock, Director, Web Technologies, National College of Ireland.

Addressing a workshop on ‘cloud computing' at Vignan University, Dr Maycock, who works with Microsoft and other MNCs in developing Cloud computing technologies, explained the the basics of cloud computing, the present market trends, the future projections and various applications of cloud computing in business and e-Governance with examples.

He also demonstrated some typical applications of cloud computing to students.

Mr. Chirandeep, manager, South Asia Affairs, NCI, explained about the opportunities in higher education in Ireland in and in NCI.

Vice Chancellor, V Govardhanarao said that Vignan University signed an MoU with NCI for faculty and students exchange. The students of Vignan University now can pursue part of their B.Tech course at NCI as the professors from NCI would visit Vignan University this summer to acclimatise the students with NCI courses and culture.
