Mumbai based healthcare services provider ‘E-Arogya’ organised an awareness workshop on malnutrition for the benefit of children at ‘SOS Children’s Village’, near here on Monday.
As part of the two-day programme, free medical tests to children to evaluate their current nutrition level had been conducted on Sunday and Monday. A game-based health talk was conducted on the final day to create awareness on malnutrition, providing of information on healthy foods, good eating practices and importance of physical activity for proper physical growth of children.
At the end of the programme, participants took an oath to follow healthy lifestyle and in turn educate their family members about healthy food habits.
The aim and objective of SOS Children’s Villages of India is to provide long term family based care to orphans and to strengthen disadvantaged families as a preventive measure against abandonment and social neglect of children. E-Arogya services coordinator Someswara Koundinya said his company offers online consultation services to patients.
