Two artists from the city, K.S. Kamesh and Boby Abraham, are exhibiting their paintings at the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) Art Gallery, New Delhi. The exhibition named Ashtkon was inaugurated on Friday by cartoonist Sudhir Tailong. Paramjit Singh and Harpal Tyagi were the guests of honour at the event. Ashtkon is a group of eight contemporary artists who are displaying their thought provoking masterpieces. Boby Abraham’s works are a tribute to the south Delhi gang rape victim who is the face of the silent majority fighting for dignity and honour in life. K.S. Kamesh says life has become so mechanical that there is no space for others in day to day chores. His work portrays this city life in vibrant colours. The exhibition will be on for a week and the other artists displaying at the expo are Alka Chadha, Amit Lal, Mange Ram Sharma, Meelima Gupta, Ram Bali Prajapati and Shiv Raj Singh.
